Terms and Conditions

These terms govern use of the Grainger County Busted Mugshots reference service. By accessing it, a visitor accepts these terms. Anyone who does not accept them should not use the service.

This is a privately owned reference service, not a government office or an affiliate of a sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither it nor its advertising partners supplies consumer reports or FCRA-covered services. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

This service stores no official Grainger County record. It cannot confirm custody, authorize a release, post bond, or file a document with an agency. It points visitors toward official county, Tennessee, and federal record resources and independent search tools.

Acceptable Use

Use the service lawfully and with respect for the people whose records may be discussed by outside sources.

  • Do not violate a law while using the service.
  • Do not use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to any system or account.
  • Do not use automated bots, scrapers, or other disruptive tools.
  • Do not interfere with another visitor's access to the service.

FCRA-Prohibited Uses

The service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services. Visitors agree not to use information from this service or a linked provider for decisions covered by the FCRA.

  • Employment, promotion, termination, or hiring decisions
  • Tenant or housing screening
  • Creditworthiness or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other use regulated by the FCRA

External Resources

Links can lead to jail rosters, court and corrections resources, public agencies, or outside search tools. Those operators control their data, privacy practices, terms, and uptime. A link is not an endorsement or a guarantee of the destination's content.

Availability and Warranties

The service is provided as is and as available. No warranty is made that a page is complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that a partner search will return a particular result. Custody status and public records can change quickly, and nothing here is an official statement by the Grainger County Sheriff's Department or another government office.

Liability and Indemnity

To the fullest extent Tennessee law allows, the service is not liable for loss or damage arising from its use. A visitor agrees to defend and hold the service harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor's use or violation of these terms.

Content Ownership

The service's text, graphics, logo, and code belong to Grainger County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, or modified without written permission, except where law allows.

Updates and Access

These terms may change at any time, and an updated version takes effect when posted. Access may be limited or withdrawn at any time, with or without notice.

Tennessee Law and Severability

These terms are governed by Tennessee law, and disputes must be brought in courts within Tennessee. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect and the affected provision is adjusted only as needed.
